For those seeking good vibes, breathtaking views, and late-night glam, FIVE LUXE, the newest addition to the FIVE Hotels and Resorts portfolio, is the go-to destination. Located on Dubai’s iconic JBR beachfront, this hotel brings a slice of Ibiza’s electric energy to the UAE, with a crowd that loves to sip cocktails as the sun dips behind the iconic Ain Dubai, ushering in a lively night filled with Balearic beats. But behind the ultra-glam glitz, FIVE LUXE is actually setting remarkable standards in sustainability.
Their impressive eco-commitments start with renewable energy. All the FIVE hotels in Dubai – as well as the brand’s properties in Ibiza – run on 100 percent solar electricity. They are the only hotel in the UAE to have an agreement with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to procure this from the Maktoum Solar Park, the world’s largest, and located just 30 minutes away.
FIVE LUXE, however, isn’t just green on the inside, it’s LEED Platinum certified in the Building Design and Construction category – recognising the building’s energy efficiency and eco-conscious design. The hotel was awarded 89 points, which, at the time of certification was the highest score in the world for a five-star hotel.
The hotel will soon be joined by a neighbouring ultra-luxe residential tower, Sensoria, currently under construction at the property. To ensure guests aren’t disturbed by the ongoing work, a staggering 2,280 sqm solar-powered video panel on the building’s side plays Pacha Ibiza visuals – to put this into perspective, the digital billboard on New York’s Time Square is just over 1,00 square meters!
Sensoria intends to incorporate a circular waste approach with a grey water treatment system being implemented to recycle water for façade cleaning, irrigation, and guest room flush tanks. Guests won’t notice any difference in terms of comfort or sanitation, but it’s a win for water conservation in a region where scarcity is becoming more critical.

The hotel’s in-house bottling plant fills over 1,000 reusable glass bottles daily, an initiative that has eliminated more than 2 million plastic bottles across FIVE’s properties.
