The festive season brings twinkling lights, cosy moments, and warm cups of deliciousness. But for many conscious consumers, December also raises important questions about sourcing, fairness, and the environmental footprint behind our favourite things.

This year’s limited-edition festive recipes from Nespresso, including the Cinnamon Cloud Latte, Golden Hibiscus Latte and Minted Coffee Mule, use sustainably sourced coffee to create seasonal drinks that have a real feel good factor.

Cinnamon Cloud Latte

Ingredients     

  • 1x Cinnamon & Candied Tamarind capsule 
  • 10ml of date syrup 
  • 100ml of non-dairy milk 
  • 500ml of non dairy cream  
  • Cinnamon powder & 1x Cinnamon Stick 
  • Optional: 1x chai tea bag 

Instructions    

Step 1 – Into a cream whipper siphon 0,5L, put 500ml of cream and one capsule. Then shake vigorously. 

Step 2 – Heat up 100ml of milk with the Aeroccino Device (Hot milk mode). 

Step 3 – Into a Festive mug, put 10ml of date Syrup and extract a 110ml Cinnamon and Candied Tamarind Coffee. 

Step 4 – Pour the hot milk into the mug and add 60g of whipped cream on top. 

Step 5 – Add a cinnamon stick into the cream and sprinkle on some cinnamon powder. 

Optional: Infuse a bag of chai tea in 70 ml of hot water, cool it down, and add it to the siphon with the cream.

Golden Hibiscus Latte

  Ingredients

  • 1x Sweet Almond & Hibiscus capsule 
  • 10ml of honey 
  • 120ml of milk 
  • 2x Amarena Cherries (syrup) 
  • 1g edible rose dried flowers 

Instructions    

Step 1 – Heat up 120ml of milk with the Aeroccino (Hot milk mode). 

Step 2 – Into a Festive mug, put 10ml of honey and extract a 80ml VL Sweet Almond & Hibiscus (Double Click Recipe mode). 

Step 3 – Pour the hot milk into the mug. 

Step 4 – Sprinkle some dried edible Rose flowers or similar aromatic edible flowers. 

Optional: Add 2 Dark Amarena Cherries (on side).

Minted Coffee Mule

  Ingredients

  • 1x Festive Espresso 
  • 1/2x Fresh non treated lime 
  • 10ml of honey 
  • 6x Nespresso ice cube (30g) 
  • 60ml Ginger Ale 
  • 1x Mint Sprig 

Instructions    

Step 1 – In a Nespresso Mixology glass put half a fresh lime (30 g) cut in 6 pieces, add 10ml of Honey. 

Step 2 – Muddle it. Put 3 Ice cubes. 

Step 3 – Pour 60ml of Ginger ale. Stir gently while lifting the lime pieces to mix them in. 

Step 4 – In a Nespresso shaker, extract 40ml of Coffee and add 2 ice cubes, close the lid, shake vigorously. 

Step 5 – Pour the ice coffee it gently in the glass over the mixture. Add a nice branch of non-treated mint leave on top.
