Atlantis The Palm is celebrating four years of environmental leadership after retaining its EarthCheck Silver Certification

Atlantis Dubai has retained the prestigious EarthCheck Silver Certification for both Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis Aquaventure, marking four years of sustainability success.

An internationally recognised standard awarded to businesses in the travel and tourism sector, EarthCheck Silver Certification signifies that a business has implemented sustainable practices and is actively working towards reducing its environmental impact.

Atlantis, The Palm was acknowledged for initiatives including their on-site water bottling plant which has eliminated the use of millions of single-use plastic bottles, cutting-edge food waste reduction tech, extensive solar panel installations and a contribution of more than $250,000 into local and international marine conservation since 2021.

Tim Kelly, President of Atlantis Global said: ‘Sustainability is a high priority of Atlantis Dubai and to retain our certified status in this field is something that we take very seriously. We are incredibly proud to maintain EarthCheck Silver Certification for the fourth year, and we look forward to attaining Gold status this year.

Atlantis Aquaventure’s designation as a Certified Autism Centre and accolades for waste recycling practices were also credited for a commitment to inclusivity and environmental responsibility.

Looking ahead, recently opened Atlantis The Royal is also gearing up to join the eco-friendly journey and aim for EarthCheck Gold Certification after five years of reporting.
