One for Budding Gardeners, Kids and Eco Champions! ‘Down to Earth’ Returns to Dubai This Weekend

Looking for something eco conscious to do with the kids this weekend? Then take your green fingered little ones to Down to Earth at Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai for a full day of family friendly activities.

Down to Earth, the UAE’s annual festival celebrating all things green, returns for its third edition on Sunday, November 27th from 10am to 8pm at Jameel Arts Centre.

Open to veteran and budding gardeners, nature and crafts enthusiasts, the eco-conscious and sustainability-aware the event offers a range of entertaining and informative activities for all ages.

Free and open to everyone, Down to Earth has a full day calendar of events including workshops in the outdoor arts and crafts zone, sustainable living demonstrations for children, teens and adults plus talks by eco and sustainability experts.

Nora Razian, Head of Exhibitions at Art Jameel said: ‘Down To Earth is a gathering for those curious about both big and small questions related to sustainability. From those who want to know more about how technology and changes in agricultural practices are shaping the way we eat to those interested in learning how to add more sustainably-minded habits to their daily life, such as procuring local produce, going waste free or greening interior spaces.’

Spanning across Jameel Arts Centre and the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park, the yearly festival also includes a Green Bazaar, offering a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Plus you can even sneak in a little Christmas shopping with a range of conscious gifts on sale from local businesses.

New to this edition of Down to Earth is the first Farmer’s Market – a collaboration with Teible, the
farm-to-fork restaurant located at Jameel Arts Centre where you can buy fresh seasonal produce direct from the local farmers themselves.
