Mark your calendars for Gulfood Green, an event that promises to be pivotal for sustainable food solutions. From September 24th to 26th at the Dubai World Trade Centre, global leaders, innovators and changemakers in the food industry will come together to showcase the latest breakthroughs in sustainability, tech, and our evolving food systems.
Expect talks on how AI, blockchain, and smart farming are revolutionising the way we produce, trade and consume food. Trixie LohMirmand, Executive VP of Dubai World Trade Centre, says, ‘Gulfood Green is more than just an event, it’s a call to action to build a more resilient, sustainable future for food production. We are creating a platform that will address the critical issues of today while shaping tomorrow’s food industry.’
The event will feature over 500 companies from 50 countries, including top innovators like Thryve, Pure Harvest, and Livestock Labs. It’s also a hub for the next wave of ag-tech and food-tech start-ups, with a special Green Shoots Pitch Competition offering a $50,000 prize to help grow the most exciting new ideas in sustainable food.
Gulfood Green will also introduce the Food for Future Summit, where more than 90 global experts will discuss everything from regenerative agriculture to climate-conscious food production. With a powerhouse speaker lineup, including Bjorn Oste, co-founder of Oatly, and Rohan Shirwaiker from the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein, it is an unmissable event.
Visitors will also get to watch the Gulfood Green Terra Awards, honouring the trailblazers making the food industry more eco-friendly across categories like Green Food Innovation and Sustainability Company of the Year.
