Pan-Asian Dubai restaurant Mogao by Socialicious is celebrating World Coconut Day this Saturday September 2nd with a themed menu.
Also commemorating World Plant Milk Day that took place on August 22nd, the dedicated dishes, such as Laksa Soup and Thai Mango Curry, are available up to and including Saturday.
Mogao by Socialicious is committed to waste reduction and farm-to-table initiatives and its products use no artificial food colouring or preservatives.
The eaterie opened in Dubai Silicon Oasis in January this year, with a seasonally changing menu featuring freshly grown herbs and micro greens grown within the restaurant and picked from its in-house garden, which is based in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle.
World Coconut Day came about following an initiative by the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) based in Jakarta, Indonesia to promote the production and distribution of the nut.
The organisation’s members account for over 90 per cent of the total coconut production in the world and include India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Kenya.
Meanwhile until 30th September, Dubai diners can enjoy an extended happy hour until 8pm, and to celebrate Back-to-School, teachers in Dubai can enjoy 50 per cent off on all A La Carte orders.
