Outdoor brunch season is officially back, and Brunch in Bloom at GastroKitchen makes a strong case for sustainable Saturday fun. Located at the DoubleTree by Hilton JBR, right on the beach with views of Ain Dubai, this farm-to-table spread features local sourcing, zero-waste dishes, and that coastal charm we’ve all missed throughout the (long) summer.
The menu, that celebrates ingredients from farms within a 50-mile radius, begins with a self service salad bar showcasing locally grown greens, followed by sharing starters including a creamy mozzarella salad, cheese empañadas, and a rainbow hummus served with crisp crudités (it’s on the kid’s menu, but I asked nicely). Mains include cauliflower tacos and a clever zero-waste ravioli, both delicious and nodding fervently to the kitchen’s eco ethos.

Live music gathers a crowd, kids line up for falcon-holding sessions, and thanks to complimentary access to the hotel’s pool and beach guests can move between their tables and the water, an offer that turns lunch into a full daycation.
The hotel itself falls under Hilton’s Travel with Purpose programme, a commitment to cutting waste, reducing energy consumption, and sourcing food responsibly. While the JBR branch isn’t yet certified under a specific eco label, its values align. You can taste it in the local produce and see it in the refreshing minimal waste approach.
