If getting the kids out of bed at 7am on a Saturday sounds like a challenge, a morning of running around with The Cat in the Hat might just do the trick. On Saturday, November 7, VOX Cinemas at Mall of the Emirates is inviting families to swap their weekend lie-ins for a healthy dose of mischief from 7 am to 10 am.
Inspired by the beloved Dr Seuss character, The Cat in the Hat VOX Cinemas Fun Run has no age restrictions and welcomes everyone, from enthusiastic little sprinters to parents who prefer a more leisurely pace. Expect plenty of family-friendly entertainment, playful activities and opportunities to win prizes along the way.
Registration is free, although there’s a small catch. To take part and collect the event goodies, participants will need to present a valid VOX Cinemas ticket for The Cat in the Hat. The good news is that tickets from previous screenings count too, so there’s no need to book another trip to the cinema if you’ve already seen the film.
Those with eligible tickets will receive an exclusive The Cat in the Hat T-shirt and a participation certificate, while top performers will have the chance to take home medals and special prizes.
The fun begins on the Ground Floor of Mall of the Emirates, near Starbucks, Zara, Massimo Dutti and Omega. Organisers recommend arriving 15 to 30 minutes early to collect your T-shirt and get ready for the action.
So, if your little ones have energy to burn (and let’s face it, when don’t they?), this could be just the ticket for a fun-filled start to the weekend.
